Weekend Haps from Goodguys Fort Worth

32nd Goodguys Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals

It was a warm weekend outside of Fort Worth, Texas, but things were really heating up at the Goodguys 32nd Summit Racing Nationals held at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend. The skies were blue and sunny all three days, packing the infield with the best hot rods, muscle cars, classic trucks, and more from across the country.

The Goodguys crew had a busy schedule at this event, as they selected two of their highly sought-after Top 12 of the Year awards presented by BASF, including the Griot’s Garage Muscle Machine of the Year and the BASF Most Bitchin’ of the Year awards. This was in addition to their usual Builders Choice Top 10, Finalists for Truck Early and Late, and all their other specialty picks throughout the weekend.

Three of these specialty picks are very meaningful to everyone at In the Garage Media, Inc., including the All Chevy Performance award given to Eric Moore and his 1966 Chevelle built by Streamline Customs, Vastine’s Paint Garage received the Modern Rodding honor for their stunning 1976 Corvette, and Robert Carpenter earned the Classic Truck Performance award with his 1968 C10.
