The Rocky Mountain state and surrounding areas are packed with hot rodders, and a great many converged on The Ranch Complex in Loveland, Colorado, for the Goodguys 28th Griot’s Garage Loveland, Colorado Nationals last weekend. Plenty of street rods, muscle cars, and classic trucks cruised, showed, and had fun all weekend long!

Our In the Garage Media crew selected three cool rides for our weekend picks, including Bob Cunninham’s rare 1946 Hudson Super-Six for our Modern Rodding pick and Pat Brown and Rob Walker’s 1966 Nova two-door wagon, which scored the Classic Truck Performance pick, along with his 1948 Chevy panel truck.

Goodguys also named three finalists for their regional Top 12 Of The Year awards presented by Surventis, including Wayne Crimmins’ 1970 Chevelle as the Griot’s Garage Muscle Machine Of The Year finalist, Jim Romag’s COPO 1969 Camaro as the Snap-on Muscle Car Of The Year finalist, and Mike De Vriendt’s 1932 Ford Roadster Pickup as the LMC Truck Of The Year Early finalist. Goodguys will announce its Top 12 Of The Year winners in mid-October. We’ll keep you posted!

It was a great weekend of family fun and hot rod activities. The swap meet was packed with vintage parts, the Goodguys Autocross provided fun racing to watch, and plenty of manufacturers were on hand, along with top builders—including Ron Jones Garage, which hosted a huge open house Friday night.

Next on the list for Goodguys is their 32nd Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals at Texas Motor Speedway, September 26-28. This is always a great show, plus they’ll be naming their Muscle Machine Of The Year along with their Most Bitchin’ of the Year award—one of our favorites! MR
