If you’re in the Bay Area region of California this coming weekend, you’re in luck as Goodguys will be hosting their 41st All American Get-Together at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California. This two-day event brings in a wide variety of custom cars, lowriders, modern muscle machines, and classic trucks for two days of fun celebrating NorCal’s vast car culture.
The family friendly event takes place March 29-30 and is open to the latest Detroit muscle machines to cruise in with all the traditional hot rods, classic trucks, and the revered customs and lowriders of the West Coast cruising culture. Yes, all years of American-made and powered show cars are welcome at the Get-Together! Also, there will be one building packed with chrome and candy lowriders presented by Deadend magazine and another building devoted to the Mercury Cougar.
For the little ones, be sure to take them over to the Family Fun Zone for free games and crafts and be sure to check out the RC car action, T model train exhibit, the pedal car, and be sure they get to the free Autoworld Make-and-Take giveaway.
Getting back to the gearhead action, there is non-stop excitement at the Goodguys AutoCross as racers try to qualify for a spot in the AutoMeter American Autocross Shootout on Sunday afternoon. For those craving the scent of nitro, check out the vintage exhibition dragsters of the Nitro Thunderfest and you can even enter the Burnout Contest!
There are always plenty of parts on display with companies like AMSOIL, American Autowire, BASF, and Total Cost Involved on display plus this show always has a big swap meet to stroll through. Sunday afternoon wraps up with a parade of the award-winning cars and trucks, including one finalist for the Goodguys Custom of the Year.
