This 1972 Ford F100 has been sitting for years, but it’s finally time to bring it back to life. After getting the chance to buy back his old high school truck, Tim Foss is starting the revival with one of the most important systems: the fuel system. The F100 Fuel System transformation begins by replacing the contaminated original fuel tank with a new direct-fit JEGS 19.5-gallon tank before moving under the hood for some major upgrades. The old 2-barrel setup comes off, replaced by a JEGS aluminum dual-plane intake and a 600-cfm Street Fighter four-barrel carburetor. We also install a new filler neck and sending unit, Lokar throttle pedal and cable, valve covers, air cleaner, and everything needed to fire up this old FE again. After a few carb adjustments, this long-languishing F100 is finally ready to hit the road for its first shakedown drive.
