Tennessee Trio

A Three-in-One Car Show That Combines Corvettes, Chevelles, & Hot Rods

For more than 40 years, the Corvette Expo has been a premier car show, vendor expo, and swap meet for Corvette enthusiasts. It has moved to a few locations during that time, but it has settled in on a great home, the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The venue offers a big convention center, lots of parking, and close proximity to the many attractions that Pigeon Forge has to offer. As the event has grown, it is no longer exclusive to Corvettes. Event organizers, Cooper Events, LLC broadened the event’s scope several years ago and they haven’t looked back ever since. These days, you’ll find that the event is actually three car shows in one—the Corvette Expo, Chevelles in the Smokies, and Horsepower and Hot Rods.

The event is typically the first automotive event to take place in Pigeon Forge each year. It kicks off the busy car show season, and can sometimes be met with cold temperatures. This year had cool temperatures on Friday’s portion of the event, which also featured a “Corvette Cruise” through the Foothills Parkway and the Tail of the Dragon, two nearby mountain roads that get national notoriety for their exciting curves. When Saturday rolled around, the sun came out and the temperatures went up, offering the perfect day to get out and enjoy the show. Both the indoor and outdoor portions of the event were packed with participants and spectators alike.

We loved the variety of cars and trucks on display at the event, so we compiled our highlights from the event, in hopes that you’ll enjoy the coverage and make plans to join the fun in 2022. The event staff already have next year’s dates locked in, so be sure to keep the weekend of March 18 and 19, 2022 open if you’d like to check it out.
