BATTLE IN BAMA/OBS NATIONALS 2025

Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR’s most iconic track, known for its rich history, tall tales, legendary speeds, and, most importantly, record moments like Dale Earnhardt’s 1999 victory, hosted the 10th Annual Battle in Bama for the second year in a row—proving to be emblematic and a show that many mark off their calendars or simply called in sick to work for!

While it was a hot one (the Alabama sun is hard at any event during summer months), the track kindly and conveniently provides endless shade options from the garages to the outdoor Big Bill’s seating and bar. Battle in Bama is holding strong with its attendance of quality and diversity—which is no surprise, as this is a hidden gem for some of the most iconic hot rods and muscle cars known to man. An all-in-one type show, it attracted everything from blown Pro Street muscle cars to slammed and detailed mini-trucks and some of the nicest classic trucks currently dominating the show circuit. It was unknown how the public would initially adjust and appreciate such an extreme venue change from Mobile, Alabama in 2023, but it is crystal clear it was the right move.

The OBS Nationals, which has become an added bonus to the event, did not disappoint. The 1988-98 body style has become a staple and common ground for a multitude of generations, and what better way than to celebrate it by showcasing a melting pot of styles in one spot.

This year’s theme was slightly different—but in the best ways possible—hosting an autocross course courtesy of Grip Autocross, monster truck rides, and a burnout contest drawing an extremely thick crowd. With well over 2,000 vehicles in attendance, a wide mixture of vendors appealing to everyone, auctions/drawings, and thousands of dollars raised for charity, there is no wonder why the event shines so brightly and continues to be one the premier truck shows in the South.
