Northwestern hot rodders know how to have fun with their cars and trucks. The Goodguys Puyallup Pacific Northwest Nationals took place July 24-26, 2026 at the Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup. It was packed with street rods, classic trucks, and muscle machines, and it was three days of non-stop cruising.
The expansive fairgrounds provided a great cruise lap, packed from dawn to dusk with cool rides and smiling faces. When people weren’t cruising, they could check in with hot-rodding parts manufacturers or builders to see what was new. Goodguys hosted a couple of indoor show areas to help people cool off, plus there was a swap meet and a fun burnout contest.
Our In the Garage Media awards went to three cool rides, including: Eddy Hearn’s 1967 Chevy II for the All Chevy Performance award, Todd Lezier’s 1957 Cameo for the Classic Truck Performance pick, and Paul Deskins for the Modern Rodding nod with his 1955 Ford Custom gasser, complete with an Arias-headed 427.
Goodguys also picked several finalists for their Top 12 Of The Year awards, which included: Phil Mitchell’s 1969 Yenko Nova for Snap-on Muscle Car, Tad Leach for the Vintage Air Custom Rod with his beaming 1956 Lincoln Premiere, Tony Jurado for the LMC Truck Early with his 1956 Ford F-100, Shane Petit’s lifted 1977 Ford F-250 for the Roadster Shop 4×4, and Transito Campos and his wicked-cool 1951 Mercury for Scotts Hotrods ’N Customs Custom of the Year.
It was a terrific weekend packed with car-family fun, including a Pinstriper Brush Bash, live music, free games and model cars for the kiddos, and even a lowrider area and an air-cooled parking area packed with sweet VWs and a couple of Corvairs.
The Northwest hot rodders know how to have a good time, which is exactly what makes the Goodguys Pacific Northwest Nationals such a great time. Next up on the Goodguys schedule is their Crown Jewel of events: the 39th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, California. MR
