Gary Rosier is a Daytona Beach-based writer and photographer whose auto and
airplane features have appeared in eleven publications, including 57 covers, over a
period of about eight years. Originally from the Buffalo, New York area, he arrived in
Florida more than 25 years ago following retirement from supermarket
management. The son of a pilot who encouraged him early on to learn the
mechanics of planes and cars, it was only natural for him to gravitate toward the
many racing and air venues in his new hometown. Always a “car guy”, Rosier has owned,
wrenched on, and rebuilt many classic muscle cars from the 60’s, but it wasn’t until
his unexpected purchase of a repossessed 1994 GT Mustang that his adventure as an
author began!
Thanks to his newfound passion, Rosier became the vice president of the local
Mustang Club and, though he enjoyed a career as used car, then new car manager of
a Saturn dealership, his new volunteer role was as club photographer. Honing his
skills and salivating over the opportunity to get his own, now fully reconditioned
and renovated Mustang in a magazine, he pitched every publication he could. Amos
Publishing, owner of the now-defunct Mustang Times, contacted him for a full
feature and Gary’s fascination with the process led him to a new career as writer.
Now retired from management, Gary travels throughout the country covering events
ranging from air races to car rallies and even hot air balloon extravaganzas. His
passion has become his profession!
