For us, it all started back in 2020: “Mask Up to Git-Down” was the mantra for the 10th Annual Dino’s Git-Down … and while we may have shunned the masks for the most part, we definitely got down! But we had no idea what was in store for Dino’s in the coming years. No clue whatsoever.

In 2022 it was a venue change from the Westgate Entertainment Center across the way to the parking lot of State Farm Stadium—big shoes to fill for sure. But within two years, those shoes were filled, and the couple-few thousand trucks we’d experienced our first trip out to Arizona as an official magazine had easily tripled in number, and we honestly thought the show had peaked. Nope, not at all.

2025 for all intents and purposes surpassed all our expectations—by a longshot. This past weekend was something else, literally.
This year, we teamed up with Ryan Foss Productions to film the first full-length documentary on Dino’s Git-Down, so we spent the majority of our time capturing the event on video. Ryan traveled out to Phoenix prior to the show to sit down with Dino, his better half, Teri, and our good friend Ronnie from C10 Talk to get some good on-camera interviews discussing the Git-Down’s 15-year history and its origins. Once on site for the show weekend, we also had a chance to interview the show’s cofounder, Sam Castronova, along with C10 club president John Oro, and all of our gracious sponsors: Auto Metal Direct (title sponsor), Switch Suspension, JEGS Performance, K5 Squared, Gearstar Transmissions, and CPP. Stay tuned for what’s shaping up to be a must-see film!

Doing this documentary really shed a new light on Dino’s Git-Down: it showed just how important the people have been since day one, which remains to this very day. If it wasn’t for those early forum chats (67-72chevytrucks), that very first Pre Show Git-Down may not have ever happened, and we wouldn’t be here talking about it today. Now, while the online/social chatter remains, each year come the weekend following SEMA, all the keyboard warriors have a place to gather in person.

From the humble appliance repair parking lot parties to the enormous State Farm Stadium extravaganza, Dino’s Git-Down has definitely come into its own—and it’s nowhere near being over yet!
