The Goodguys 15th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals, presented by Old Air Products, revs up at Texas Motor Speedway on April 25 and 26. Dubbed “America’s Favorite Car Show,” Goodguys promises an unforgettable weekend filled with thousands of cool cars, fantastic people, and loads of fun, especially with the historic Pate Swap Meet happening simultaneously!
This year, Goodguys partnered with the legendary Pate Swap Meet, allowing car enthusiasts to explore an incredible selection of vintage and collectible automotive parts. With over 10,000 swap meet spaces available, this massive event runs from April 24-26 just outside the Speedway, and entry is free!
The main event kicks off on the infield of Texas Motor Speedway on Friday and Saturday, showcasing thousands of classic cars. One highlight you won’t want to miss is the unique opportunity for participants to drive their classic vehicles on the Speedway Friday evening. Watch the thrilling Goodguys Autocross racing as drivers navigate tight corners to qualify for Saturday afternoon’s Speedtech Performance “Lone Star Shootout.”
Family fun is also on the agenda! The Goodguys Family Fun Zone offers free games for kids, including the “Make and Take” model car program presented by Auto World, while parents explore top performance and restoration vendors. Don’t miss the Nitro Thunderfest, featuring the thunderous roars of vintage dragsters, and enjoy a thrilling sideways show of drifting, courtesy of Urban Racing.
Saturday afternoon concludes the action with live music and a parade of award-winning vehicles. Keep an eye out for the finalists of the Goodguys “Top 12” Awards, which celebrate the best Muscle Cars, Customs, Early and Late Trucks, and Custom Rods. Additionally, there are the Builders Choice Top Ten awards, selected by industry luminaries Jason Hill of Hill’s Hot Rods and KC Mathieu of KC’s Paint Shop, along with over 70 other special awards.
