Scott’s Hot Rods ’N Customs Opens its Doors for the NSRA Kick-Off Party

The NSRA Street Rod Nationals South has been a staple event in the NSRA schedule for nearly 50 years. The event is held at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, Tennessee, a beautiful venue for a rod run. But before the event officially begins, there is always a Thursday night kick-off party. In 2020, Scott’s Hotrods ’N Customs stepped up to the plate as the host of the kick-off party and did so by opening its doors and welcoming hot rodders to hang out for the evening. For the 2022 event, Scott’s Hotrods once again hosted the event and gave us a great evening of fun before things started rolling at the Nats South.

Scott’s Hotrods moved from Southern California to East Tennessee a few years ago and is quickly expanding its shop to take on additional work and become a one-stop shop for custom builds. The open house gave us a great view of the machinery on hand, as well as numerous completed frames, suspension components, and project vehicles in progress. With hundreds of hot rods, custom and classic trucks packed into the property, the kick-off party at Scott’s Hotrods was a packed house. In addition to the open house and great turnout of vehicles, there was also free barbecue and an awesome concert by country music artist and fellow hot rodder, James Otto. With plans for expansion in the coming months, we expect this shop and this kick-off party event to continue growing for years to come.
