The upcoming Goodguys 31st Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals, presented by BASF, is the place to be for hot rod enthusiasts in late September 2024. Held at the iconic Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, last year’s event attracted over 2,500 of the country’s finest 1999 and older hot rods, trucks, customs, muscle cars, and classics so this year should be even bigger.
The three-day event will kick off on Friday, September 27, with roaring engines filling the air as participants arrive to showcase their prized rides. Online advance general admission tickets are available for $25 for Friday and Saturday and $20 for Sunday, making it an affordable, family friendly event. Kids aged 7-12 could enjoy the festivities for just $10 online in advance or $11 at the event, with children 6 and under getting in for free.
One of the main attractions will be the Classic Performance Products AutoCross Racing Series Action, featuring the Summit Racing “Big Hoss Shootout.” Spectators will line up to watch the high-octane action as drivers test their skills on the challenging course. Custom cars and trucks will race against the clock to thrill the crowd with speed and precision.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to shop the swap meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral, browse the vendor midway, and enjoy live music. The event will also feature the Goodguys Nitro Thunderfest Presented by Summit Racing, a favorite among fans of high-performance vehicles.
