Eric Geisert, a self-taught journalist and photographer, grew up in Southern California and began his career by having his automotive-themed articles and photography published in local newspapers. After a three-year stint in the ‘80s at VW Trends magazine (that covered all things Volkswagen), Eric joined Street Rodder magazine in 1991. After 13 years, he was tapped in 2004 to be the editor of Kit Car magazine, a 30-year-old title within the company. In 2006, a move back to Street Rodder came with a Senior Editor position. In 2007, Eric was inducted into the Circle of Champions, the Detroit Autorama's Hall of Fame. In 2013, at 53 years old, Eric became a freelance writer and stays busy supplying articles and photography to a handful of publications both in and out of the United States, which affords him time to work on his wide-based collection of cars (which usually numbers around 12), and currently includes a reproduction '59 Lotus 11, a '59 Karmann Ghia, a '32 Ford roadster, a '55 Chevy 210, a '61 Dodge D100, and a '65 Ranchero. Over his career Eric's photographic images have graced 350 magazine covers and he has written literally thousands of articles.
